In a very large nutshell: I live in Midland with my husband Steve, and together we own a grocery store called Maurice’s valu-mart, on King Street in Midland. See? It’s all about food!! Easy access. We have three wonderful children, Somerset (aged 11), Aria (aged 9) and Dylan (aged 5). They are all amazingly different and hilarious in their own way, and sadly none of them really like food that much. Interesting food, that is. Ooh, more blog topics on that. So, to be cheesy, my family are the spices in my life and they add great flavour to everyday life.
I am also a freelance indexer, and just this week indexed my very first cookbook, and it was a completely joyful, euphoric exprience for me. It is called "Vegan A La Mode", by Hannah Kaminsky, out in May (Check it out at: Vegan A La Mode (amazon). I am not a vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but this is a woman I could bond with!! Who else but a total food genius would come up with "Midnight Munchies Ice Cream", which includes her very own creation of "Potato Chip Toffee". I'm pretty sure there were tears of joys in my eyes when I saw this page.
I enjoy many crafts like cross-stitch, beading, tatting, knitting, stained glass, I love to play games and cards (poker…), I love to read, play on the computer, I LOVE to travel, and I love to cook. So that’s some of me anyway.
